Oh Snap! Building Community through photography
Thursday August 2, 2018: Session A, Session B, & Session C
This workshop will walk you through the steps of a rigorous mini-unit project that integrates 21st Century technology and community building. Start by teaching your students the fundamentals of photography (basic composition, rule-of-thirds, framing) so that they can become amateur photographers and capture images of objects, people, and places that are important to them. Then learn how to walk your students through interactive classroom activities that gets them communicating with their peers, bonding through sharing, and learning how to give proper feedback about each other’s work. Bring your phone or tablet to practice these new techniques!
